Community Education is defined as “schools and communities working together, utilizing their common resources to promote learning and citizenship building”.  The Saskatchewan Association for Community Education (SACE) is dedicated to expanding the number of school-community partnerships.

We are pleased to announce that we are launching our grant program to encourage school communities to build partnerships with resources within their communities.  There will be 25 recipients receiving a maximum of $1000 in funding.  To be eligible to apply, schools must be a member of the Saskatchewan Association for Community Education.  Membership fees are $75/year and can be submitted here.

The deadline for grant application submission has been extended to December 22, 2021.  Applicants will be notified by January 31, 2022 if they are the recipient for funding.

Successful applicants must submit:

  • A short video or photo story with brief description of the outcome of the project. These submissions will be posted on our website and social media pages.
  • Signed media release forms for all individuals visible in the video and/or photos.
